This a reproduction of of the few notable zouave units from the Western Theater of the Civil War. The 8th Missouri fought with distinction throughout the war, and maintained a zouave jacket for most of their service.

Our reproduction is based off the later 1863 version of the 8th's jackets. It is made from a high quality wool broadcloth with cotton shirting body lining and cotton muslin sleeve lining, red wool tape trim and tombeaux with red welting in the armcye seams.
